H.E. Dr.Mohammed Saud Al-Tamimi
Brief Biography:
Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi has been the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) since October 2019. H.E. is the Vice Chairman of Saudi Space Agency and Vice President of
a research group specializing in wireless networks, next-generation networks, and cloud computing at the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva.
His Excellency is a member of Arbitration Committee at the European Telecommunication Networks Innovation Forum, and expert on regulation governance, privatization and competition economics, and
international expert in telecommunication networks and cloud computing.
During his years of work, he participated at several specialized associations and research centers in Saudi Arabia
Education and Certifications
His Excellency holds PhD in telecom regulation economics from the University of Pittsburgh, USA (2014), a master’s degree in telecommunications and technology policies from the University of
Strathclyde, UK (2005), and bachelor’s degrees in telecommunications engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (2003). In addition, H.E. has attended leadership program
at Harvard University (2018-2019), along with contributed several research studies in telecom engineering and regulation economics.
