The Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, with the powers he holds, and pursuant to what was stated in the Telecommunications Act, its Bylaw and the Ordinance of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, after reviewing what was stated in Chapter Seven of the Telecommunications Bylaw, and to what was stated in the letter of Saudi Telecommunications Company No. (1253) dated 11/06/1425H on request for approval to provide new additional services under the name (Enhanced Messaging Services) as stated in the above mentioned letter of the Company and in accordance with the work benefit requirements,
(Decides the following):
Article One:
Approving that the Saudi Telecommunications Company to provide the above mentioned service in accordance with the Tariff attached with this Decision.
Article Two:
The Saudi Telecommunications Company shall comply with the following when providing the service:
- Not to violate any instructions notified to the Company in regard to provisioning of this service.
- Providing the technical capabilities through which statements could be determined for users of this service to refer to it when needed for a period not less than six months.
- Draw the attention of the users of the service not to violate the content of the Terms of the Islamic Law, conventionality, general decency, not to violate the social, cultural, political, informational, economical and religious values in the kingdom and not to include any violation of Acts and Bylaws prevailing in the Kingdom like the Telecommunications Act, Publication Act and
Article Three:
The Saudi Telecommunications Company shall act according to this Decision from the date of its issuance.
Article Four:
The Saudi Telecommunications Company shall publish the approved amendments pursuant to the Terms of Article Forty Eight of the Telecommunications Bylaw.
Article Five:
This Decision shall be communicated to Saudi Telecommunications Company and the concerned parties to act accordingly.
