CST role in connected vehicle services

• CST is the regulator of IoT technology in the Kingdom, including connected vehicles services as one of IoT applications
• CST is regulating the telecommunications and information technology (ICT) sector in the Kingdom by implementing the policies, regulations, and programs aimed at developing information technology and emerging technologies. ​It sets the appropriate procedures and proposes regulations related to IT and emerging technologies and amendments to such regulations and get them approved by the competent authorities
• ​CST also works to enable and ensure a fair competitive environment
• Issues the necessary licenses in accordance with the relevant terms and regulations​
• Provide an attractive environment for local and international investors
• ​Localize all IoT services, including connected vehicle
• Encouraging reliance on its solutions and technologies in the Kingdom to promote performance, productivity, flexibility and quality of services for all beneficiaries in the Kingdom
