SaudiNIC announced that the sunrise period of the second level domain names registration under (.sa) ends at 10:00 AM, Monday the 2nd Rabi II 1432 H (7th March 2011 G). Second level domains mean all Domain names composed of two parts only, a label and the TLD (.sa) without the ( com, net, org, etc ) part. For example (www.nic.sa).
The sunrise period means the time period extending 6th of Safar 1432 H, e 2nd Rabi II 1432 H, during which SaudiNIC accepted applications for registration of a 2LD domain name by existing 3LD Registrants. Only Qualified Registrants were allowed to submit an application for a (.sa) 2LD domain name during the Sunrise Phase. Qualified registrant means any entity or individual who has completed submission and verification of a valid application for a third level domain name and got it registered before the 30th of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1431 H (6th of December 2010 G).
