His Excellency Governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem AlRuwais inspected Al-Bahaytah Security Centre and Al-Shamiah Road, as he was recived by H.E. Mr. Saad Al Maimoni, Governor of Taif.
During the tour, H.E. evaluated the quality of ICT services in the entire area to ensure its capability to efficiently serve the estimated large number of pilgrims as they pass through it on their way to Makkah for a during nearly the same period. This requires mobilizing all technical and human resources for operation as it will require best services for pilgrims and visitors.
Moreover, H.E. had a close examination on the preparations of the operators of the ICT services with a team of specialists. Meanwhile, H.E. tested their readiness to send and receive communications and data efficiently. The operators are now equipped with 50 points to send wireless data "Wi-Fi" and 4G cell towers.
Notably, CITC is responsible for empowering the ICT infrastructure in the Kingdom, supervising the services provided by telecommunications companies and ensuring the provision of all services efficiently and professionally during 5G-cell tower the Hajj season.
