Meanwhile, CITC highlighted its continuous process of measuring the quality of telecommunication services. The measurement process covers the two holy cities of Makkah & Al Madinah, The Two Holy Mosques and their surroundings as part of its efforts in Hajj season this year.
The process aims at measuring the quality and effectiveness of communication networks and facilities delivered by telecommunication companies. Furthermore, the field measurement can verify the availability of coverage, network quality and overall performance in addition to conducting surveys of frequency bands allocated for the provision of mobile telecommunications services. This will ensure that no interference occurs, and helps to identify any possible sources of such interference, thus maintaining the quality of service provided to the guests of Allah. This step comes as a part of the CITC’s effort to guarantee that pilgrims are provided with the best telecom services in all areas throughout the season.
