According to an EFQM report, the CITC has been awarded a certificate of Institutional Commitment to Excellence with 2 Stars (C2E), becoming the first telecoms and IT regulator in the Middle East and North Africa to achieve the feat.
The certificate was awarded in light of the CITC’s fulfillment of a number of strategic standards to increase the efficiency of services provided to both the private and public sectors; excellence in government performance and the launch of several key initiatives in strategic support of communications and information technology in Saudi Arabia; and the promotion of improved business processes and governance to enable sustainable digital transformation in the Kingdom.
Engineer Nayef bin Abdul Hakim Shashah, General Manager of Strategic Planning at the CITC, explained that the Commission seeks to meet global governance standards in all its activities, going on to detail how the authority has been working hard to enable digital transformation across Saudi Arabia.
