​​​Today, The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announced the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) as the winner of 'The Platinum Game Operator' Award for the first half Of 2021.

The Commission stated that STC's win came as a result of the company's ability to achieve the highest rate in a number of criteria, including: hosting video games locally, reducing latency for the most popular​ video games, in addition to introducing packages for gamers, and providing technical support and awareness for players all over the Kingdom.

CITC published these results in the "Game Mode" report for Q2 of 2021. In addition to the award, CITC's Game Mode initiative includes quarterly reports that compare response times among service providers across some of the most popular video games in the Kingdom. In order to support the gaming scene and boost competition
