The Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announces a number of initiatives and launches at the Digital Technology Forum 2022, in conjunction with the opening of the accompanying exhibition for local technology products. CITC also announced the winning products of the Co-Innovation Award, the launch of the first Local Technology Guide in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as announcing the join of two new member groups to the Advisory Group Initiative which was launched in last year’s forum.
The local technical products exhibition features 35 local technical companies showcasing their products and Blockchain technology products, with the goal of introducing local technical products and success stories, as well as promoting local technical production.
The Commission also announced that four local technical products have won the Co-Innovation Award, which aims to enable and support local technical products to compete globally and encourage service providers to create products in collaboration with the end-users.
The winners of the Award are “Availo” product by T2 company and the Zakat Tax and Customs Authority’s, the “MajlesTech” product by Sure Global Tech and the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, “SLNEE” product by Business Plus and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), as well as the “Whitehelmet” product by WhiteHelmet company and the Saline Water Conversion Corporation.
CITC issued the first Local Technology Products Guide in the Middle East and North Africa to facilitate access to local products developed by IT and emerging technologies companies in the Kingdom, and support credibility and competitiveness to achieve the Commission's strategy to develop products and increase their added value in the digital economy. The Commission's guide includes 88 products from companies in the IT and Emerging Technologies sector, classified according to their work.
CITC also revealed the join of “Top Users” and “Supporting Entities” to the Advisory Groups Initiative, which was launched by the Commission in 2021, which aims to promote collaboration among stakeholders to achieve growth and promote the Kingdom's IT & ET market.
