H.E. Dr. Mohammad bin Saud Altamimi, the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) visited various entities and centers regulating the Hajj season 2024, including the National Center for Security Operations (911) to check on the ICT sector preparations in Makkah region and the Holy Sites.

During his visit to Jeddah, H.E. Visited the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) arrangements, then held a meeting at CST headquarter in Jeddah with the CEO of Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP) and the CEO of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in order to ensure the best experience for this season’s pilgrims throughout their visit to Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Sites, and to promote the Kingdom’s image in serving pilgrims.

H.E. with the accompanying delegation were briefed on the entities’ arrangements and services for pilgrims including the readiness of all the technologies, innovations, and manpower to accommodate the huge number of pilgrims, in addition to all the technical aspects and operational plans.

The visitation stems from the CST's major role as regulator of the ICT sector in the Kingdom, with the goal of enhancing the user experience through integrated technical services and developed infrastructure specifically provided to serve the visitors of the Grand Mosque in Makkah for Hajj or Umrah.
