Saudi Arabia won prizes in the World Summit on the Information Society “WSIS+20” organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) held in Geneva, Switzerland, for the excellence of its innovations after competing with more than (193) countries. 

 The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA)  received a prize in the "role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for Development” category for its National Data Bank (NDB) and Estishraf project, which aims to enhance the quality of the Kingdom’s data, promote its international participation and contribute to building a data-based digital economy through specialized platforms. The Kingdom also receives three excellence certificates for the “AI Principals Project” by SDAIA, which focuses on elevating ethics and ensuring their implementation throughout the AI’s lifecycle. The “Elevate" project also by SDAIA, is the first of its kind to empower women and train them in the data and AI fields, where over 1000 women have been trained from 28 countries since the project’s launch. In addition, the "SmartTruck" project represented by the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) in partnership with HUAWEI, intended to bridge the digital divide for seniors by offering digital skills training programs.

These achievements reflect the Kingdom’s development in ICT infrastructure, the enablement of national capabilities, and its alignment with international advancements in various sectors such as government services, healthcare, education, and entertainment with the unlimited support of the Saudi leadership.
