The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) revealed the telecom indicators in Makkah & Holy Sites on the 14th of June 2024, where the total of voice calls reached 33.7M, including 31.1M local calls and 2.6M international calls, with a total success rate reaching 99%.
Statistics showed the total data consumption that reached 6.3 thousand TB, equivalent to watching 2.58 million hours of 1080p HD video clips. The indicators also included the daily average of data consumption per capita reaching (867.53 MB / person), exceeding (2) times the global consumption rate of 380 MB / person.
Mobile internet download speeds averaged 432.09 Mbit/s, while upload average speeds of mobile internet reached 58.23 Mbit/s.
