​The Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA) held a training program on "Digital Policy Leadership and Regulatory Excellence" in partnership with the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and the U.S. Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI). The program aims to create an enabling environment for digital regulations, educate participants on t​he economics of telecommunications and regulation, and highlight best practices in digital regulation and public policy, with the participation of 31 experts from MCIT+ and a number of representatives from National Regulations Committee and service providers in field of Telecommunication, Space and Technology.


The 5 days program led by global  experts in digital regulation and public policy highlighted the importance of using diverse methods to comprehend policy and regulatory issues. It focused on analyzing the key factors essential for developing a robust digital system and the skills required to create an environment that promotes the deployment, use and growth of digital technologies. This was achieved through lectures, field visits to companies like Microsoft, case studies, panel discussions, and strategic workshops.

The program is part of DRA initiatives to develop national capabilities in public policy and digital regulations, as well as improve regulatory awareness. Since the establishment the DRA in 2021, over 1000 participants from both public and private sectors have benefited from the academy’s training programs.
