The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) commends the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) leading role in developing the digital capabilities at the international level through the Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA). This recognition comes in appreciation of the academy's active contribution to the Telecommunications and Technology Assistance Project, which aims to enable member states to develop advanced digital regulatory policies and strengthen their abilities in digital regulation through developing human competences in digital regulations. The initiative aligns with global digital transformations and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
The DRA launched many initiatives to raise awareness in digital regulatory and its application in digital markets, as well as supporting state members in keeping pace with rapid global digital transformations , and achieving several notable accomplishments, including workshops and specialized training programs that benefited more than 900 trainees from more than 100 countries.
This international recognition affirms the Kingdom’s leading position in the telecommunications and technology sector, and its pivotal role in supporting international efforts to enhance digital transformation and sustainable development. The DRA serves as a pioneering platform that brings together expertise and knowledge to promote practical exchange among member states and highlight Saudi Arabia's efforts in digital regulation internationally.
