Regulation of Wholesale Local Voice Call Termination Rates on Mobile Networks (MTR) and Fixed Networks (FTR)

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) continues to support its goal to promote competition and protect the interests of users, and to encourage the provisioning of reliable and affordable communications and information technology services.
In pursuit of its goals, CITC is pleased to announce that it has published a Public Consultation document today on Regulation of Wholesale Local Voice Call Termination Rates on Mobile Networks (MTR) and Fixed Networks (FTR), and invites all members of the public, including private individuals, public organizations and commercial entities (together, the “Participants”) to participate in this process.
In order to provide a structure to the process, the consultation includes a series of questions. Participants are invited to provide answers to these questions along with any related comments. CITC encourages Participants to support their comments with relevant data, analysis, benchmarking studies and information. CITC is under no obligation to adopt the comments of any Participant.
All comments must be received by CITC no later than 3.00 p.m. on 15/02/1436 H, corresponding to 07/12/2014 G.
