Regulatory Framework, Rules and Technical Standards on Communications and Information Technology Infrastructure Deployment in New Developments.
The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) continues to pursue its goals of promoting competition, protecting the interests of users, and encouraging the provisioning of reliable and affordable communications and information technology services. CITC also seeks to foster the rollout of high speed broadband services.
In pursuit of these goals, CITC is pleased to announce that it has published a Public Consultation document on the proposed Regulation for Regulatory Framework, Rules and Technical Standards on Communications and Information Technology Infrastructure Deployment in New Developments in the Kingdom and invites all members of the public, including individuals, public organizations and commercial entities (together, the “Participants”) to participate in this process.
In order to provide structure to the process, the consultation includes a series of questions. Participants are invited to provide their views also answers to these questions along with any related comments. CITC encourages Participants to support their comments with relevant data, analysis, benchmarking studies and information. CITC is under no obligation to adopt the comments of any Participant.
All comments must be received by CITC no later than 3.00 p.m. on 29/8/1438 H, corresponding to 25/5/2017 G.
