The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) continues to pursue its goals of promoting transparency, participating the public in decision making process, and enhancing the contribution of the ICT sector to the safety of individuals and society, especially in disaster and emergency situations. 

In pursuit of these goals, CITC is pleased to announce that  it has published a Public Consultation document on the Requirements of Early Alert Procedure Using the Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) and invites all members of the public, including individuals, public organizations and other entities to participate in this process.

In order to provide structure to the process, the consultation includes a series of questions. Participants are invited to provide their views also answers to these questions along with any related comments. CITC encourages Participants to support their comments with relevant data, analysis, benchmarking studies and information. CITC is under no obligation to adopt the comments of any Participant.

All comments must be received by CITC no later than 3.00 p.m. on 23/11/1439H, corresponding to 05/08/2018 G.
