The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) published a public consultation on the draft of Business Continuity Management Regulations for Telecommunications Service Providers.
Hence, the availability of telecommunications services is one of the most importance aspect due to the heavy reliance on telecommunications and information technology services and to prevent any defects within these services provided, which may have a wide impact on the reputation and economy of the Kingdom. In this regard, CITC published the Business Continuity Management Regulations for Telecommunications Service Providers with the objectives as follows:
- Supporting and achieving the goals of Vision 2030 in providing a flexible digital infrastructure for the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom.
- Enhancing the status and apply global best practices of business continuity management in the communications and information technology sector.
- Establishing a mechanism to continuously develop and improve business continuity management in the communications and information technology sector.
CITC invites participants including the telecommunication servoice providers to submit their views on the drfat of “Business Continuity Management Regulations for Telecommunications Service Providers” before approving it and start implementing it.
Participants are kindly requested when sending their comments to refer to the paragraph or phrase desired to comment on while supporting their views with the relevant justifications, analyzes and data necessary.
Participants who wish to submit their views/comments on this document must submit it to CITC no later than Thursday 29/10/1442 H corresponding to 10/6/2021 .
